A blog  is a website that collects chronological texts or articles from one or more authors, with the most recent entry always appearing first. Usually each article allows for readers to enter comments and for the author to respond, which makes it possible to establish a dialogue.

There is a large world-wide community of bloggers and as a result creating a blog from “0″ is actually relatively simple due to the number of useful tools available, such as Blogger or WordPress.

To create a blog you should first decide where you want to go with it and what’s its purpose and scope. Having decided on this we can then select one of the two tools recommended above. Although it may be difficult to differentiate at first glance, the features and functionality are actually very different. As such,  in order not to waste development time, we emphasize that a client should define clearly what their final vision for a blog is, before we begin the development process.

Blogger is a service created by Pyra Labs, and acquired by Google in 2003, which allows you to create and publish a blog online. To publish content, you do not have to write any code or install server software or script. This can be done from any web browser and the results are immediately updated. Although blogger is a useful management content, one of the disadvantages or limitations is that the general structure of their workforce is not 100% modifiable, the source code of the blog is not downloadable and it’s usually hosted on Google’s servers in the blogspot.com domain to which you do not have FTP access.

The difference between Blogger and WordPress is found in WordPress’s Content Management System or CMS which is useful in the creation of any type of web design, although it has gained great relevance in the creation of blogs in particular. It has been developed in PHP for environments running MySQL and Apache, GPL license and is free software. It has become the most popular CMS in the blogosphere and is the more popular compared to other commonly used CMS. This is mostly due to the license, its ease of use and some of the WordPress features which include the content manager.
